i'm in the bloody middle of captain's fury and i just ... feh. i really want to know how the rest ends and stuff. i mean obviously tavi becomes the first lord based entirely on the titles of the other books (but come on, who didn't know that from the first book?) and stuff but like.. i want to read it and find out and be amazed because of how good it's gotten. but some how i just can't seem to bring myself to finish it. i'm like i don't want to be in the canim war anymore. i don't want to read about the bitch and fidelias etc.. so i've stopped reading again. but i totally want to read. i need something TOTALLY different. halp?

I'm enjoying that Iron Druid Chronicles series and I enjoy it. Has quite a bit of humor that actually makes me laugh out loud, which with a book rarely happens. Should throw you back into reading, imo.

well she flew threw the second book anyway. and i'm not sure another fantasy title is going to help since she wants something different. unless its just the style of fantasy shes burned out on.

if you want to try a different genre entirely try reading one of the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child. they're fast paced and fun to read. another idea is if your mostly into fantasy but the classic fantasy isn't doing it you could do some urban fantasy for a bit. just some various ideas here but theres the Kitty Norville series, the Cal Leandros series, the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, and i could come up with some other decent ones if you've already done those.

captain's fury is the 4th book. i read 2, 3 and half of 4 in like 5 days then stopped for no reason. lolol fibro depression. (meaning it's 100% chemical and is not triggered by anything normal. fking the weather can change too fast and i will be stuck in bed for 3 days going WTF IS THIS ISHT?!) anyway that was weeks ago and i don't think i want any fantasy atm. i'm staring at a huge ass list of books i have and have zero desire to read any of them. all of them are fantasy/urban fantasy though. i don't know how to look at not fantasy books and go "that might be interesting." i guess i could go through movies people have loved that were based on books.

i also find that while i'm interested in scifi, i'm not interested in scifi. i think this stems from reading bad scifi books and glaring at the demon prince series by jack vance and going WHY ARE YOU NOT AVAILABLE IN EBOOK FORM YET?! JESUS CHRIST IT'S BEEN YEARS!

edit: oooh the darth bane books are out in ebook form now. i might snag the first one. i hated his mass effect books but i do admit he's a good writer when it comes to games and everyone seems to love the bane series.
