to bump or not to bump that is the question

everytime i see someone add a reply i get all edgy and hope for another addition!

but i'm sorely dissapointed at the fact that addicts keep bumping

but then if we didn't bump podunkmer wouldn't see the need or necessity to keep posting

to bump or not to bump that is the question

Part XIV - 6:00pm Means 6:00pm

A man is less than one half of one percent genetically different from a woman. Since the beginning of time man/womankind has duly noted the differences produced by this smidgen of a chromosome, before we even used the word smidgen or knew what a chromosome was.

Now I'm not going to launch into a tirade on the behavioral differences between the fairer sex and the hairier sex. I just don't have time. But let's make one thing clear to you ladies out there.

If a man tells you 6:00pm and he shows up at 6:00pm, the following are appropriate responses:

"Hi! Just a minute, I'm almost ready!"

"Hi! I'm running late, would you mind sitting for a few?"

"Hi! Let's go!"

"Hi! I love it when people are punctual! Let's go!"

This, however, is NOT an appropriate response:

"Oh, I thought you'd be late."

What??? You *thought* I would be late? Think whatever you want, but when I woke up early so I could get to work early so I could leave work early and drive through heavy traffic and run a few lights and endanger some handicapped children and senior citizens and babies in unattended carriages so I could pick you up when I said I'd pick you up, you'd better come up with something better than "I thought you'd be late" if you want to score points with me!

<gender rant=on>

Ladies, if a man gets there on time to your first date, it means he's capable of being on time to anything else that could ever possibly have a starting time. Don't screw that up. If he likes you, he most certainly spent the last 3 hours sweating out what he would say in the first 22 seconds of showing up, and in his meticulous rehearsals, he has already calculated every tick of the clock into the rhythm of his delivery. If he doesn't like you, he still at least had the respect to treat you like a lady and keep his committment!

<gender rant=off>

"I'm not ready yet, come on in." Nice follow-up, but no dice!

The tone of the evening had been set, and it sounded something like a flaming blinded warthog dragging a grand piano down a cobblestone mountain.
