I don't think anyone ever said they'll make a TV series with the same actors. I can't think of any TV series spinning off from movies where more than one or two members (usually minor characters) sign on for the TV show.

Paramount has reportedly set June 29, 2012 as date for the second Star Trek movie.

Ugh, why do people always spell Quinto's Heroes character wrong. It's SYLAR .... sorry I had too!
I think a TV show with that cast would be excellent. But Star Trek has always gone from a TV series and then to the "Big Screen", and not vice-versa. I wonder how that would work out.
Getting an ensemble cast like the one in Trek together all on a 5 year contract could be tough since they first made a movie and it was a huge success.
