After using Saitek keyboards for about the last decade, with my current Eclipse II probably about 5 years old now. I decided to go ahead and get a new keyboard. And because I have been using Logitech mice forever, I figured I'd try a Logitech keyboard now. I also assumed I'd be able to use the same Setpoint software with my gaming G500 mouse as I would with a G110 gaming keyboard.

The G110 came in today. I was disappointed to find out it doesn't work with Setpoint software. I have to download another app for the keyboard called Gaming Software. And that software doesn't work with my mouse. Seems a bit stupid on Logitech's part to not combine the software for their gaming keyboard and gaming mouse together. The two programs don't even look like they are made by the same company. Unify that stuff Logitech.

But that isn't important. The important thing is how well it feels typing. OMFG. These keys feel so rough and stiff. I know it's just out of the box, but the $10 Dell keyboards I use at work feel more responsive and smoother than this $80 (retail, got this for $60 on sale) keyboard. I'm extremely disappointed with the feel of the G110. I'm typing this message on the keyboard right now and it's a major chore and I'm having to backspace and fix errors almost every other word. The spacebar is especially bad.

I'm going to TRY really hard to see if a few days of use will break it in. But my wrists are already starting to ache typing on this damn thing. So I'm not sure how long I'll make it. Based on the example infront of me, I would only recommend this keyboard to people I hate.

I love the slim line keyboards now with the wee wee buttons. The less I have the press the better.

Well the more I think about it, the more I think this must just be a bad apple. It's just amazingly bad. I can't believe all the G110s can suck this much.

Still, pisses me off I got to RMA this now.

The keyboard included a free copy of Star Trek Online. Their stupid automated RMA system is now trying to charge me $22 for the game now that I'm returning the keyboard. Haha. Hopefully NewEgg will fix that for me.

I love my G110. I've never noticed any of the problems you mention and I use a lot of different quality/style keyboards. As for the software... that sucks. I've never used more than the macro software for the keyboard so I haven't run into that myself.

I might be a defective unit. NewEgg is taking it back for me.

I'm gonna visit Fry's and Best Buy and see if I can find any G110 or G510 keyboards on display to test out.

Kinda thinking about trying a mechanical keyboard too. But not sure I could get used to the noise. Also most don't have attached palm rests either and that's an issue for me.

wow that is really surprising, I have not tried that keyboard, but I use all logitech products. Mice, keyboard, speakers, headsets ect.


I had been using the MX 5500 Revolution for the past few years now, it just started acting up on me, loosing connection (wireless), I told logitech about it they replaced with a G19 Gaming keyboard, ($250) retail even though my keyboard was actually outside of warrenty. They sent me a UPS shipping lable to ship it back and sent me the new keyboard for free.


I always buy my logitech stuff right of their online store, gets to me in under 2 business days every time.
