I currently have a Linksys WRT54GS flashed with DD-WRT it has been a great modem works with everything and never disconnects but I'm looking for something a little faster. I currently use the wireless part for one PC, streaming Netflix via Roku in another room, and steaming to a WDTV live in another room. The streaming from ROKU and WDTV is sluggish at times and is showing 3 or 4 bars of signal.

What would be a good Wireless N router? I have shopped on Newegg, but from reading the reviews on Newegg, there doesn't seem to be a equally good N equivalent of the Linksys WRT54GS.

Any ideas?

TIA

If I were to buy a router right now, it would be this one probably. I have to say though that nothing seems as stable as my WRT54GL, or as well reviewed. Thats what has kept me using the WRT54GL.

Nice, I prefer tomato anyway. I'll have to remember this if I decide to upgrade. Is it bad that I have my modem / router / NAS on a UPS? NOPE Power goes out and I don't even notice haha.

I'm pretty happy with the Cisco e4200, which some claim is the successor of the WRT54GL

Of course it's not, but some say it.

Yea I'm a big fan of Tomato. As for the UPS, when the cable goes out, the internet goes out so I really don't have a need. I don't use the NAS feature, although I should. Stupid me.

Oh, I have a separate box setup as a NAS, I don't use the herp derp usb drive connected to the router "nas" type stuff.
