I'm pretty sure a late 90s Palm Pilot shares the same sleek look.
Maybe Apple should go sue them, a lot!

Jobs didn't want Bluray players in Mac's because he believes streaming is the way to go and Bluray has some licensing issues he didn't want to deal with. It would increase the cost of the computer as well. Bluray is not going to replace the DVD. Streaming and Digital downloads are the way of the future. It would be hypocritical for him to think otherwise, since his iTunes based App Store has Music, Apps and streamable movie rentals.
Everyone is on the digital download "app store" thing these days. Steam's been doing it for years, now EA has Origin and even Microsoft is doing it with Windows 8.
I have a PS3 for Bluray's and no PC in my house has or needs a Bluray player as it's optical drive. No games are shipping on Bluray except for the PS3.
My pc has bluray and love it. XBMC >>>> streaming for my action movies. Maybe if they sent less compressed crap, but then again who has bandwidth for that + the caps to not pay an arm and a leg to your ISP. Would love to see 4k movies over 3d, but both those have more bandwidth requirements. Streaming will have its place, but never a full replacement for physical media at the rate things are going.
To add. It is not cost that keeps apple from having bluray. It is that by the time that bluray drives and software was around, apple had the store front going. Why have users bring in media when they can rent/buy a highly compressed proprietary format from you getting a 30% cut. Its not the "future", its profit.

Look at the Android phones. They look like iPhones. Slate look, touch screen, little square icons in rows, etc. It's a total rip off. No phone looked or acted like that before the iPhone.
I think it would have been difficult to be wrong about more stuff in one post.

If I recall correctly, there was a whole slew of htc windows 4, 5, and 6 phones that had very similar physical features long before the iPhone came out.
*edit* Not windows 6 btw, just looked it up and it came out roughly same time as iPhone, but the windows 4 and windows 5 phones were there first. (4 was called 2003)
Windows 2003 example:

What Jobs and Apple do is basically taking an existing tech and making it easy to use to a point where any non-tech person can turn it on and do what they have to. This, of course is great, but many people give them more credit than they deserve.
I do agree with the comment that the market might see more innovation with Jobs gone. iphone competition was artificially slowed down for a few years by the silly Apple patents on touch screen and multi-touch. Not even talking about the ridiculous law suits against Samsung for making slim devices with 4 corners.

Wasn't it Bill Gates who said that the Tablet was the future in like 2001?

Not bad for a phone that came out several months before the iPhone.
Samsung had a phone like the iphon back in the early 2000's, it had no physical key board. My old boss had it on sprint.

In the biography "Steve Jobs," author Walter Isaacson quotes Jobs saying of Gates: "Bill is basically unimaginative and has never invented anything, which is why I think he's more comfortable now in philanthropy than technology. He just shamelessly ripped off other people's ideas."
