Found this on the merger plans for the IGN boards. I don't like how that looks at all.
I believe that was the IGN merging some of it's own boards earlier in the year and I think that's done now.

Ravy, you are probably right but it still looks bad to me. While a hardware/tech board may not get much traffic it is a much better place to post a hardware/tech question than a more general board where it is likely to get moved to another page rather quickly.

Thanks for everything Mithan. I won't be moving over personally, it just won't be the same.
There's a lot of people here with some incredible post counts. I feel like this is the end of something for me, personally as well.
MMO's and gaming in general is just not the same as it was 10-12 years ago. I lurked here for a while after the AC Warcry boards were getting DOS attacks and just liked it here more. AC brought me here and I have fond memories of AC1 in 2000/2001 and VNboards.

I have to say, it doesn't look good  !
VN community boards any different? I typically stay away from them out of fear what's going on there is contagious and my IQ might drop.
That's certainly why I've stayed away from ones like AC Friends, but the Political and Current Events board is a serious one that I'll miss a great deal, albeit it's been very quiet for a while now.

Anyone know of some decent boards? I refuse to move to the IGN ones.

Oh, well, I've enjoyed my nearly 10 years on these boards. I doubt I'll move to IGN. Thanks Mithan and all the mods for keeping the joint running all these years.

Ya, I was a lurker from 00-03' The boards were primarily was the place AC commerce primarily happened and my guild had a single guy that did all our purchases / sales here for us during those years. I remember the boards would scroll so fast you couldn't keep anything on the front page for a whole minute even with it set to 50/page... I highly doubt I will go to IGN as well. I kind of resented the last merger. This one will kill it for me. Good times though.
