This is NOT the official list as I am not remotely in a position to have any influence whatsoever in this area. I would guess the Boards nearly certain to merge would be;
ACF
Outpost
Ywain
AC  T
They seem to generate enough traffic to warrant it. Past that, I would think they may try to combine server boards from a few popular (here anyway) games (AC and DAoC) into a generic forum for each game. After that, I am guessing the rest get nuked.
Again, this is nothing more than my personal observations and is not remotely to be considered official.

It seems the way of the world at the moment to "improve" everything people like by turning it into crap, in search of an extra few pennies from eg cross-sales (which never materialise). I'm coping with that at the moment on Massively (no logging in to comment through their own account setup, you now need a third party social media account to log in) as well as domestically in the UK with the new recipe for Flora, formerly the country's leading margerine brand and which now tastes and smells so disgusting that people are no longer using it. Don't even get me started on SOE's discarding of its European customers.
Ah well, it was fun here while it lasted. My thanks to all for their company and my best wishes for their future. I won't be moving across to a grossly inferior site. Thanks also to Mithan, the rest of the board staff and the Mods for taking care of us.
Just looking at the post count of the few in this thread makes one realise how much an awful lot of people are going to miss these boards.
Does anyone know of a similar setup to VN that we could all descend on and take over?

I just wanted to say you guys are awesome and I will miss you when it comes to the Technical stuff.
I really wish they had just ignored us and left us alone to do whatever we do.

I was pretty proud of my 9k posts over ~10yrs of being here. i was a lurker since 00-01 and then finally registered in 02 for DAoC. I hope the Kay board doesn't go away, since I know a lot of people do check it from time to time, even if they don't post.
sigh 
i'd guess that 7-8k of my 9k posts have been to this board. it will be missed.
but, i guess, all things must come to an end, or at least be transformed to something else. maybe the new ign hardware/tech support forum will be just as good as this one is (was).
