This guy is a moonbat. Between this and his racist noob newsletters I finally get why the GOP doesn't want this guy as their nominee.
What I don't understand is HOW this guy has been in Congress this long? How gerrymandered must Texas be that this guy keeps his seat like forever?  He makes Michelle Bachmann look sane.

He didn't write them. Even the pundits who have been trying to attack him on every issue for years admit he did not write them. He wasn't even the editor of the newsletter. Sad how uninformed the American electorate is. If we don't elect Ron Paul then we get what we deserve and our children will be slaves to the system that Ashmaele was too weak to take on.

Let's suppose for a moment that you and these unnamed "pundits" are correct. Who did write them? Does he not know? Why did he allow them to continue to be published in his name (with his signature affixed) if he did not believe these things? Why won't he tell us now who wrote them? Why did he wait ten focking years to disavow them? Why not SUE whoever wrote them for sullying his good name?
I like much of what the guy says but I cannot divorce myself from reality like the Paulians. I need answers to these questions and he refuses to provide them, leaving me with the assumption that one of two things must be true:
1. He did write them, or at the very least they were published with his tacit approval.
2. He did not write them and does not believe this crap, but he felt as though he needed the racist noob/moonbat bloc in order to maintain his seat in Congress (which means he has zero credibility and zero character).
Either way, this isn't the kind of guy I want in the White House.

I only know of one editor. Lew Rockwell. He has not laid claim that he edited those newsletters yet though. There is also a rumor that it was Eric Dondero who wrote them which is ironic because he is now the ex-staffer who is now attacking Ron Paul.

Ron Paul owned that newspaper. Its not some rogue publication, he owned it and his name is attached to it. The fact that he didn't know about it until ten years later is not favorable to him.

To be perfectly honest, I don't care if he wrote it or not. I'm more interested in how he's handling it. He should have said, I didn't write it and when I found out that my name was attached to something that so obviously does not represent my beliefs, I took appropriate steps to ensure this would never happen again. I regret this incident especially as it was my own publication that ran this.
Honestly, you want a president that proves he passes the buck and fails to take responsibility for something his name is attached to?
Btw, twenty years ago I was eight and my mom taught me well enough back then not to speak or think in terms of race (except on the outpost!) Twenty years ago is no excuse, we knew better in the 90's.
