lol... It's just... LOL

Do these people also believe that the world is 6,000 years old, flat, a geocentric solar system and geosynclines?

I'm fine with religion. I'm not okay with willful stupidity... Well, it's okay to laugh at from time to time.

I see a chicken and no reason to think it came from anything other than a chicken.

Okay, you see a chicken. True. Do you also see a bird? Do you also see a vertebrate? Then you understand that a thing can be a member of more than one category in a nested hierarchy. One of the categories this chicken is a member of is dinosaur.

I might believe you if you could take that chicken and turn him into a t-rex. But we all know you can do any of that.

We can't take a mouse and turn it into a cow either. That doesn't stop them from being mammals.

Mastara posted:

Or take that chicken and somehow make him "evolve" into something different. But again science can do neither.

It's called breeding. Although I'm not sure if the term "evolve" still applies if it's done artificially.

Scientist have already activated chromosomes that have brought out strong reptilian features in chickens . I'm on my phone so I don't have the reference on hand but there's a whole program dedicated to this on the Science Channel then again religion and science has long separated.

We now have enough empirical evidence to support the hypothesis that you're a complete idiot.

Now we just have to test it somehow...

What if Masboro started posting in quantity on the Outpost, we'd have some data to analyze?

Oh right... carry on!!

Birds are related to dinosaurs in some way we don't understand yet...but they are NOT classified as dinosaurs.

That's a sooooomewhat incomplete classification. Look what's between Chordata and Aves:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chordate

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sauropsida

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archosauromorpha

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avemetatarsalia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinosauria

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saurischia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coelurosauria

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aves

Each group is a subset of the group above it. I left out a few intermediates here and there.
