Sounds like a sound theory to me
The theory is patently ridiculous, so it's no wonder you believe it to be sound.
The entire premise is based upon the references to dragons found
only in the Bible.
Problem: There are no references to "dragons" (or dinosaur like creatures) in fiction, mythology or literature which
predates the Bible.
What there
is however are references to many great, mythical beasts and demons. If the "logic" of this theory were at all sound, we must also start trying to find the fossilized remains of Humbaba, Medusa, Kraken, Chimera, Gorgons and Titans, not to mention the 100s of other fantasy creations of pre-biblical legend.
