The union is part of the problem with American auto makers too. Unions, over regulation, red tape, and taxes are reason companies put their plants in foreign countries like Mexico.

If you had a union at your company you wouldn't be working 16 hours a day. you would be making more and you would have GREAT benefits.

If there was a union at my workplace the company would be out of business and the big competitors taking the market share

Sounds like your company is on it's way out anyways. They are evil. Unions help share the wealth so the greedy corporate overlords don't suck the life blood out of it's employees.

The fact is unions will kill many companies and put them out of business.
Its no surprise so many companies are outsourcing in order to survive.
The government gives them all these green regulations and taxes and they have to deal with greey unions. No surprise there are so many American auto plants across the border in Mexico

according to everything im reading the volt works fine.
its gets an industry standard 35 miles per charge, on average and gets amazing mileage under gas power.
the only problem i see with it is the conservatards are in full melty mode over it because GM got the same form of bailout that their banker buddies got

The thing is the auto makers and many other industries really didnt need bailouts. The bailouts were to stop a great depression from happening in the financial sector. Once other industries figured the government was handing out cash they came up with reasons and went ot their bought and paid for members of congress and got free money for themselves.

Not True. Unions are for making fair pay for the employees. Left to they own druthers corporations would not pay it's employees anything.

Companies outsource to improve their profits. If a company can't survive by paying it's employees a living wage they are doing it wrong.

Unions are a buffer between greedy corporate owns and it's employees, the corporations are the real greedy ones.

Unions make it way more difficult for US companies to compete in a global economy. Also all the regulations, taxes, and green laws make it more difficult too.
The end result is the company dies, outsources, or gets rid of its unions. The only way to free itself of the other things is to leave the country and go to places like Mexico
