New research from Canada shows that some toxins may be more abundant in marijuana cigarettes than tobacco cigarettes.
Ammonia levels were up to 20 times higher in marijuana smoke than in tobacco smoke. Levels of hydrogen cyanide and nitrogen-related chemicals were three to five times higher in marijuana smoke than in tobacco smoke.
In this new study, researchers compared marijuana smoke to tobacco smoke, using smoking machines to simulate the smoking habits of users. The scientists found that ammonia levels were 20 times higher in the marijuana smoke than in the tobacco smoke, while hydrogen cyanide, nitric oxide and certain aromatic amines occurred at levels 3-5 times higher in the marijuana smoke, they say. The finding is "important information for public health and communication of the risk related to exposure to such materials," say the researchers.

I don't understand why the "legalize it" crowd is still arguing about smoking the stuff, talk about a dead end no-win approach to the argument. As was mentioned above - pot brownies and of course other foods are the way to go.

You should have to sign a waver agreeing that you wont receive any medical help outside of what you can pay for yourself if you take up smoking. Im getting sick and tired of getting calls to peoples homes where the pt has COPD and emphysema and on O2 yet the house is full of cig smoke.
