Ron Paul doesn't even want to see himself as President. He just wants to stir things up and sell a few books.
Wow....

Romney is a person who is really defined by his management experience. That is what you would be voting for.
The one person running that has experience in righting companies that are in the red. This is why a lot of us are willing to bet on him.
His record is definitely blemished, but out of the entire pool he is the only one that has shown that they can and will do what it takes to start our economic recovery.
Simple mistake there.
There is no reason to think that running a company that specializes in leveraged buyouts, restructuring and reselling companies really helps you restart an entire economy. The two have nothing to do with each other. Romney has as much relevant experience as the President of a pro sports team.
Unless maybe you are looking for DC to buy out every struggling company in the US, restructure it and sell it back to private parties.
BUying a retail organization, turning it around and selling it is not something that has any real macro economic benefit. It may help the owners/employees of that particular retail establishment, but its likely at the expense of the owners/employees of competing retail establishments.

Unless he wants to shake up Washington by restructuring it as he has businesses... and trims the fat like so many RP supporters hope for. Sounds like he has more experience at bringing change than Ron Paul does.

This is where you and I will disagree.
The two are relevant to each other to me. Finding the points in a company that are not allowing for proper growth and replacing or restructuring is something I find very useful for our economy. While a company obviously is not synonymous with our government, there is enough crossover (financially) that his experience is better suited for the task.
Below you can find a pdf or watch the video made by financial analysts on the break down of the government spending vs. revenue. It seems unbiased and is what I am looking for in a president. Someone that understands financially how to move the country into a rate of growth that is sustainable. Currently, I only see one nominee that actually has experience in this.
Can he do it if elected? I hope so. He seems to be the most eligible for this specific task which is the most important thing to me at this point.

If I were American I think I'd probably vote for him. You have to respect him... and I think what you guys all need most is to be shaken up a bit. He probably wouldn't get most of the crazier stuff done, but he'd definitely change things up.

I'll take bad science over bad math.
Debt has expanded faster than GDP every single quarter since 1980. Mathematically, we are in deep shit. I figure we've got 3 years max to fix it, via cutting spending. 40% today, more like 50% if we wait till 2013 to start. If we have to wait for the class of 2015 to be seated, it may be too late.
Nobody else is (in the big 2 parties) pushing the really big cuts.
Lol... 40-50% cuts.
This kids is why America is going down the drain. Got a whole party dedicated to people that are batshiat crazy like this guy.
Are you that bad at math? We spent 3.8Trillion dollars on 2.16Trillion in taxes. That's a 40% cut to balance. Of course that will lower taxes collected too, so we'll need to cut even more to balance up.
It's impossible to collect more than 20% taxes. I don't care what you set the rates to, that's all you get. (We managed about 22% in WW2). So we could maybe scrape up another 200Billion or so by rate hikes from our current levels.
Our budget problems are only going to get worse. The percentage we need to cut the budget by has been doubling every 3-4 years. We are about one more double from complete collapse.
Nevermind all the other crap. It's all about the budget.
