Congress is what is totally messed up. A President is in charge, and yes...they take the blame for much of what happens, but it is congress has been screwing over the country for a long while now. Changing the guy in charge can only enhance their crazy (Bush years), or end up in gridlock (Obama years). Both are bad, enhancing is worse.

I'll take bad science over bad math.

Debt has expanded faster than GDP every single quarter since 1980. Mathematically, we are in deep shit. I figure we've got 3 years max to fix it, via cutting spending. 40% today, more like 50% if we wait till 2013 to start. If we have to wait for the class of 2015 to be seated, it may be too late.

Nobody else is (in the big 2 parties) pushing the really big cuts.

The status quo sucks. Changing the status quo to sucks more.

Give me a third party candidate without the and i'd strongly consider him/her.

Obama or Romney. Jeepers kids, THERE'S a lot of "change".

Everyone wants something done but then in the end they try to get it with the same old same old.

Ron Paul. You know he's probably your best hope when almost EVERYONE is trying to shout him down.

For once I'm with you. I think Ron Paul is the best candidate, with John Huntsman a close second. Unfortunately that doesn't mean they'll get elected.

McCain had zero economic experience going into the election. He didn't even really have economic advisors he talked to so he had to recruit them. The fact is every President that is not crazy is probably going to pull economic advisors from the same pool of people. That pool of people is more defined by the nature of the science in the US than political BS. The conclusions of this group are also not based on what is easy to sell politically.

So in the end the President of the US is really just a middle man between economists and the people.

Romney is a person who is really defined by his management experience. That is what you would be voting for. Candidates like RP are defined by their ideology. His ideology is bot based on study or intelligence but faith.
