I'm not saying that Marines are trained to kill the enemy and piss on their dead bodies, but I'm not saying they're trained not to either. Maybe they are now, I dunno. You have to understand these young men and women go through a transformation mentally from some puke off the street into the most aggressive and lethal killing machine in the world, no remorse, no hesitation, no buyers regret. They want to eat your face by the time they find a combat zone.
Pissing on a dead Taliban pales in comparison to what those animals do on a daily basis anyway. If you've talked to anyone who has served over there I'm sure they can tell you some heartwarming stories about Taliban compassion and things like Sharia law.
I guarantee that worse has happened over there. These idiots just filmed it and put it on the internet. Calm down.

There is totally something wrong with dehumanizing your enemy. I can't believe you would say otherwise.
Whether it's understandable or not is a different question. Murder is understandable too but we don't condone that either.

Americans have acted like this in other wars but they shouldnt. Its disgusting and barbaric. Put the men who did this in jail. We are supposed to be the "good guys."

A certain callousness occurs naturally. And even you would feel differently about the fifteenth Taliban you killed than the first.
And yes if you do it enough I think you began to view killing the enemy as just another part of the job. You think every soldier gets all weepy after every soldier they kill? Would you even want that?

I never said they should piss on the bodies. But this isn't some kind of outrageous misconduct unforeseeable in a war.
under any standard of decency killing an 18 year old kid is a lot worse than pissing on a dead body, and we are making them do the worse thing. So acting all "ZOMG NO!!!!!" about the second is pretty retarded for about twenty different reasons.

This does happen in war and its disgusting. It happened in WW2 and all wars the US was engaged in. In every case if it comes to light the Americans involved should be prosecuted. This is now how we should behave in war
Kill them but no do this to them.
