They are like what Islam is to Christianity and Judaism. They all use the same base religious documents but they are clearly separate religions because they have secondary material which comes later than the original material and defines them as different and separate.
and in catholicism the church trumps the bible...it's no different
i think it's very clear you are ignorant about christianity...what defines christianity isn't the bible ...if that was it then jews would be christian
while the bible is the source of the belief...the belief that is christianity is evident from the name....the belief that christ is the son of god and the savior of the people
last i checked...that encompassed mormons

Mormons dont believe the only way to heaven is through Christ like Chrisians. They all believe the Mormom Bible trumps the Christian Bible the same way Islam believes the Koran trumps the Old Testament from Judaism.

From what I understand Mormons believe god has a wife, that god at one time had its own god,and they also believe that everyone else can become a god too and create thier own worlds.
