Its nice to live in places where everyone looks like you. When ypure an immigrant and have to live in a town where everyone looks different then its just a grind, everyday - you never feel at home.

I lived with my identical twin for 25 years straight. It's an alright experience to live around people who look like me

I'm more interested in lving near people having similar values; neighborliness, pride in their home and community etc. Yahoos come in every color.

I grew up in southern california with all mexicans and my area had vietnamese. That was fine for the most part.

When I lived in northern california.. the apartment complex I was in was mostly black. Seems like someone got robbed almost every night or the cops were there every night.

So of course my experiences will help influence my choice of where to live.

It doesn't matter when it's a mixed area to me. I got a black neighbor now and we get along ok. But it's when it's almost entirely black that I don't really dig the situation.

/open racist I guess.

Is it ok to not want to live around people at all?

For the record though, I prefer multi-cultural neighborhoods. I grew up in enlisted base housing - always feels like home to me to be surrounded by people of all walks of life. My current neighborhood is as good as you can get in the area (ie - we have one black family that lives in it)

Never thought about it much, I suppose it's fine to want, but I just don't care.

I'd prefer to live around white people. I know that white people are fucking me over no matter where I am. Other colored people rely on me being near them in order to fuck me over.
If possible, I prefer being fucked over by the least amount of people as possible.

It doesn't mean that blacks or hispanics are more or less likely to screw me over, I just know that those of them that would have a limited proximity.

I live in a multicultural area and it's great. In the 6 units in our block there is only one other whitey and he like me wasn't born here. The only people that were born here are the lebanese family

it's really the food that I like the most though.

I spent years living in cities (mostly Chicago and Atlanta) in areas that were racially and culturally as diverse as you can get. Loved it.

I now live in a small town that is more than 99% white and mostly stupid. I don't mind it here either.

Gets pretty damn boring at times, but what the hell? Not like I'm Mr Excitement and I fit in pretty damn perfectly..except when they start getting all religious and stuff and that's mostly just surface bull that you can ignore, same thing I did when it happened in the city.
