Every town I've ever lived in is dominated by its ethnic enclaves. Is this politically correct in this day and age?
If you are black, is it OK to prefer housing in Harlem?
If you are Orthodox Jewish, is it OK to prefer housing in Boro Park?
If you are white, is it OK to prefer housing in Soho?

Yes, live where you want. I can live anywhere. I have been adopted by the Armenian, Black and Jewish communities. Of course I'm a real life bastard ( no father - actually two fathers) and we get plus ten to our adaptive living skill.
I was so accepted in a Black neighborhood, a guy took a baseball bat to every car windshield on the block , except my truck.

I'm on the border of a white area and a Dominican area. They have their different flavors. The Dominican area has this bodega where I'd say 90% of its business is working stiffs playing scratcher tickets. The white area is all artists or upper-middle-class pretend "artists" all showing off the latest fashion in baby strollers. I think I like the Dominican area better.
Also, the whiter an area is, the smaller, foofier and yappier the dogs are. This seems to be an ironclad rule of New York.

No, it is not ok. The government should break up all groups and redistribute them so that every household is as close to a 1:1 ratio of each race as possible!

Dominican is just a Latino neighborhood. A pseudo artistic neighborhood is an interesting topic for a work of art. The characters could be rich multi dimensional cardboard cut out stereotypes. I get a big kick out of granny welders and plein air geriatric water colorists. However, this group may be a little too familiar to me.

There was a Spongebob episode where Squidward went to live in a town full of people who looked exactly like him. Sure, it was great in the beginning. But over time life became boring and monotonous, so he ended up leaving his segregated environment and moved back to his old mixed neighborhood where he was most happiest.

It doesn't really matter to me, as long as the place is safe and clean I don't care who I live around. I was the white guy in our neighborhood in Florida.
