I will not buy it if this is the plan.
I buy most of 90%+ of my games new but I will not put up with not being able to share a friends game or lend someone a game.

Dear Xbox:
I rent most of the games I buy first. If I can beat it in the time I've rented it I don't buy it because I don't think a game I can beat in under 8 hours is worth 60 bucks. This tends to mean I buy RPGs more then others, also games like Left for dead where I can play online with my family and friends. If a game somehow impresses me while renting it. I MIGHT go and buy one of the under 8 hour games but you can damn well be sure I don't go buy a new version for 60 bucks. MOST of your games aren't worth that expense.
If as it states I can't play used(rented) games, then I will not be buying your console. IF I do buy the console I will mod it out so that I CAN play used games. within a week of the Xbox being out I'm sure someone will have figured out how to circumvent whatever you put into the console to prevent used games from being played. I don't care about online on your system, I have a PC for online.
I have for every generation bought a console from the three major manufacturers (Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony.) Guess I will cross you off the list of major console because it's a major bungle to deny your players the right to play used games simply because your game publishers are whiny bitches.
