I actually did not choose whiskey as my second favorite drink.. It's just what bumped into my mind I actually prefer Bourbon before whiskey 
Of all of these my clear favorite is Remy Martin XO, my second is probably Pappy van Winkle and Zubrowka as third..

Cognac...I prefer Courvoisier to Remy.
Whiskey...Jameson's or any good quality Irish
Bourbon...don't drink it much
Vodka...cheap name brand is as good as any
Rum....Bacardi 1873 Solera

Bourbon = Evan Williams
Rum = Kraken
Vodka = McCormick's
Never had cognac and still have over half a bottle of Clan MacGregor scotch... I gag just thinking about it.

I don't really drink spirits
Grey goose vodka is my vodka of choice but I'm not fussed really
I'm not a big scotch or whiskey drinker but I'm slowly coming around. I bought my soon to be father in law a bottle of 30 year old ballentines which i didnt fimd awful but it was wasted on me
Haven't drank enough brandy or cognac the little I have drank remy vsop I didn't enjoy
Rum I used to partake in 151 but got too sick. Way back in the day I used to drink an Aussie run called bundaberg but it's quite sweet. These days only the mrs drinks it and she does beef eater haha
Id rather platt my own shit than drink bourbon

7 or 12 year old Flor de Cana rum, I will put up against all of the other whiskies, vodkas and gin. This is smooth.
So, if Im drinking Vodka , I will call a premium- Ketel One is good in this spot.
Whiskey- no scotch for me. I never made the leap. Im not that good a judge of whiskey, so Ill go with Wild Turkey
Cognac- I cant tell the difference among the lower end cognacs any one will do, Remy, Hennesey, or Courvosierre
Gin, I like Beefeaters better than Tanqueray

I like ketel one, macallan 18, and jack daniels single barrel.
I cant drink cognac.
