The idiot publishers are the ones who create an environment where used games flourish and then they cry about it and instead of changing their business model to naturally eliminate them they come up with increasingly draconian and awful methods to combat it which accomplish nothing but increasing the appeal of both used games and more importantly piracy.
Further more, it isn't the developers who suffer the most from used games, it is the worthless middle men publishers who contribute nothing to anyone but themselves.

That companies like EA and Activision are ruining gaming is nothing new, they strong arm the developers to push out a unfinished shitty product hastily done so that they can maximize profits.
I mean modern warfare is a example of your generic shitty shootan game, developers get less budget then marketing..
Mythic did not ruin Warhammer that was all EA, they had their profits so they started to cut into the budget for upholding the game, thus it failed.
It's the same shite with Hollywood they are not interested in making good movies, only profits.
