We've been over this too many times on the Outpost to rehash. No invasion was necessary. America ended up giving Japan the terms it wanted in the end anyhow. The bombs were totally unnessecary from a military point of view. It was completely politics.

I've heard that too. But there were Jewish suicide bombers in Palestine during the British mandate. So I'm not sure why it would have been just the one and not the other in their own backyard where the Palestinians saw firsthand how effective it was.
