Can you please explain to me how you reconcile your stance with your religious belief? Where in the New Testament does Jesus support killing anyone? I'm not a Christian but it was my understanding Jesus was all about forgiveness and loving your enemy.

I'm not a Christian but I support the death penalty over life imprisonment. Why dehumanize someone and allow them to just wither away? Quick and painless imo.

Why don't you troll muslim advocates instead. I'd love to see some asshole come on here and try to defend al qaida or the taliban.

why not put them to good use? Make them work without paying them. I'm sure the coal mines could use some extra hands, or other type of work that's unsafe and hazardous to your health.

Christians are low hanging fruit. They are plentiful there. Muslims are not.

We tried that. Ended it in 1865 with the thirteenth amendment.

I do not support capital punishment at all. It has nothing to do with a religion or religions, but has everything to do with basic humanity and giving power to the state or government to take someone's life. I don't even trust them to tell the simple truth about what they spent last week yet they should be empowered to make a decision about whether or not someone should live or die? I think not.
Hell, whether or not someone even goes to trial has more to do with how connected that person is rather than ethics or justice. We have people walking around in comfort that should be in jail, and people in jail that shouldn't be there.

Bad idea. You don't want to go back to this system. It's already bad enough that our jails are privatized and make bank off our prison population. I want our inmates fairly treated, not stuck or thrown into a system that has an incentive for never letting them out.

I wonder if people would be opposed to changing that. Killing people based on how well a lawyer can argue in court is kind of retarded.

Good point. I just think capital punishment isn't that good. Especially when some people get wrongfully convicted. The only time capital punishment should be allowed is if there's 100% proof without one single doubt. Even then, I still think throwing them in the coal mines would work too. I don't know, it's a weird subject.
