Agreed.
otoh, I also avoid street food for the most part. I find local eateries with (mostly) roofs exciting enough, although it does depend on where I'm traveling. I wouldn't take any chances in most 3rd world countries and that is where I tend to end up. Europe, not so bad, and I've had some pretty awesome gyros in the cities of Germany.
