I don't see how it's possible. Every carrier has a network of support craft providing perimeter security. Every one of those ships has computerized radar systems that work. A missile traveling at mach 1.5 is detected, even inches from the water, targeted and fired upon faster than it can get close.
Don't mean to disagree with you, but missiles cannot be seen inches from the waves by radar. They cannot distinguish between the wave tops and a missle. There is usually a minimum height for radar to operate functionally.
