Cops become desensitized in general.

I think it's possible he might have some form of PTSD and when faced with a similar situation he reacts instinctively out of self preservation. I'd be interested to see what the circumstances of his first shooting were.

or hes just a homicidal maniac

so if i go out and strut around my front yard with a pellet gun today and a cop shows up next week sometime, its ok for him to shoot me?

is it ok for him to shoot anyone in a state where gun ownership is legal?

do you people still think its ok to shoot/kill a kid with a pellet gun after 10 minutes?

Well, if you're waving it around in a threatening manner at people, it doesn't matter if its real or fake. If the thug did turn out to have a real gun, and they end up shooting the cop because the cop hesitated to verify if it was real or not, what would you say then?

Regarding the article, maybe they should stop sending that cop out in these sorts of confrontations and maybe assign him a desk job for a few years.

they had 10 minutes to get a tazer or some bean bags....
im willing to bet the kid would have shit himself had they opened fire on him with beanbags instead of lead.

and this cop needs to be in jail.

you are wrong.
police are here to protect and serve, not hand out judgement and sentencing. that is what courts and judges are for.
the problem you are having is an assumption of guilt on people whove had a finger pointed at them.
you need to get over your problem before you get shot after i call the cops on you.

People who fear gun crime should look at the most active participants, the so called authorities.

Koneg's problem is he wants to kill people with all his guns but doesn't have the balls to do it so he is content with jacking off to murderers with badges while swinging a common sense argument he thinks is a gem.

Obviously the solution to this entire problem involves US citizens laying face down with their arms outstretched and feet wide apart ANY time they see an officer of the law.

Any thoughts on that one Genius?

if you reach down for something a cop can't see you can bet he's yelling "show me your hands." or something like it. This guy sounds like he's had some terrible luck.

I have a hard time getting weepy for this guy that was shot BTW. I've lived 36 years and have never even seen anyone waving a gun around. If you choose to do that you are a dangerous moron.
