Thats a weak argument Kay. You work for your health care benefit. Tax deductions are a dumb argument since its already our money. Same with CGs. They aren't payouts. They are less receivables.
We've had this argument on the Outpost before and it always ends the same.
Anyways I am sure we have a fundamental difference in what we consider your money and their money. I'll just leave it at that. By the way I am NOT for cutting from the poor. There is a lot we can cut though and I am willing to start with the military and moving on from there.
Feel free to make a fake quote from me. 
In your head you have convinced yourself its already 'your money' but there is no reason everyone cant make this same argument about all benefits and services from the govt. Its 'your money' only if the law says its 'your money'.
The distinction between payables and receivables is fairly arbitrary. If I say you owe me $100 but I will give you $10....its no different than saying you owe me $90.

When the Romans ran out of money for the their government in ancient times they would conscript people and put their richest citizens on trial for fake charges like treason for saying a mean word about the emperor at a dinner party and then take their estates. This was the case because the richest of Rome often had as much or more than the roman treasury..

They try not to pay
They dont pay as much as they should
They make you go to court to make them pay their fair share
If you use their service then they bump their rates
They will decline you coverage if you use it
They try to legislate requiring you to carry their coverage
Insurance is about as big a ripoff as casinos.

I have a biased opinion because I am an insurance agent but to say it is a scam is just ignorance.
Despite what you think they have a contractual obligation to pay for covered losses. Negotiating so they don't screwed is not the same as trying to not pay. The problems arise when people try and get money for stuff that insurance is not designed to cover.
FYI insurance is one of if not the only industry where government regulates how much profit a company is allowed to make.

My parents used to tell me, even when I was very young, to never become an insurance agent - to them it was the most soulless of all professions. And they were a lawyer and a cop!!!
I now see that they were just about right.
