What of extra equipment can I swap around between tanks and what binds to the tank?

If French commanders were as superb as french tanks at start of WW2, millions of lifes would have been spared...instead their commanders saw it as awesome idea to build a giant bunker and stuff all the soldiers in it and expect nazis not to go around it!

It says when you right-click an equipment slot and look at the list of items to buy.
Stuff that is non-movable has a little lock symbol in the corner of the icon.
Mind you some (most?) of it is tied to class too, so you can't move, say, Camo Net from a medium tank to a heavy and vice versa.

Ok, that leaves just the tool box and the binoculars as swappable (and the camo net of course)

Binocs, Camo Net, Toolbox can all be mounted to any tank and removed when the tank is in the garage and mounted to another tank. The same goes for any expendable equipment (fire extinguiser, repair kit, med kit, rations, etc).
Rammers, Gun Laying Drives, etc are semi-permanently mounted. You can pay 10 gold to remove the item if you want.
They can be shared between some vehicles, as long as the tanks use the same class of equipment. You can mount a medium caliber rammer on any tank that uses a medium caliber rammer.

There's an El Alamein special again with double xp for some tanks today. Of course I hear about it half an hour before I have to leave for work

I now understand the pain that is the a-20.
I'm being thrown into battles with is-4s and tigers 2, but the tank isn't really nippy enough nor does it have the visibility to make a good scout.
