The real nice thing about the doubled credits is that the numbers are doubled before taking out costs for repairs and ammo so it effectively more than doubles their income.
The event is certainly influencing what tanks people are using. Had a game with 5 KVs on each side and have had multiple games with no arty.

I'm almost to my KV-3. 
I have to go work at a triathlon at about 3am so I might not make it until tomorrow night but I'm trying for tonight.

I haven't played for days.. those 6h no break grinds to get my damn JagdPzIV only to find it a only slightly less retarded version of the Hertzer.. Now 120k needed for the JagdPanther.

120k credits? what a breeze, you're probably done by the time I post this reply. with next to no playtime over the weekend I'm still 6k exp on the hetzer and ~250k credits away from the StuG III, so stop crying

Basically anything above b-2 and below KV involves bending over and saying "Please sir can I have some more?" because of the crappy matchmaking system

KVs don't have it much better in the matchmaker. They get thrown up against anything as high as tier 9 heavies.

How do you need 120k exp for the Jagdpanther when you have the JPz IV with an 88mm cannon and from there the research for the Jagdpanther only costs 64k exp according to the tech tree
