It is so grindy at times, indeed!
So I just decided to keep playing IS and M4A3 mostly, and try to get VK3002DB in a few weeks (have the previous tank just need some more XP and a lil bit of silver...)
For some reason I enjoy german mediums, get a gun with good penetration and try to snipe/go for weak spots. Manouver to hide your semi-fragile undercarriage, or use some obstruction.
Most vechiles are compromises.
Original question:
I pretty much always go for long, high pen guns, regardless of vechile, if possible.
Never been a good HE player, I did OK on KV with derp but it was flaky.

Completely agreed.
I played the russian heavy line in beta and they were good tanks. The KV is a large slow block of steel. It is a beast in matches of its tier or lower. Higher tier matches it will get one shotted.
I never cared for the derp, but one some maps like city maps it is very good.

I just spent a whole day and 9500 exp on a f'kin 88mm cannon that is fucking clown shoes!
totally fucking worthless at penetration and dmg, I could have just as easily kept on sucking just as much with the 105mm cannon..
whom ever created the JagdPzIV and gave it it's fucking cannons should be beaten within an inch of his life and then have salt poured into his sores! The whole tank is a COMPLETE waste of time, if you plan on playing German TD, DON'T..
Who in the hell makes the TD inferior in every way to heavies it's on tier? It's retarded it defeats the whole purpose of a Tank Destroyer. Might as well call them heavy feeders..

It is probably just the JagdPzIV. Once you get up to the next one, you should be back to doing awesome again.
