Yup. And they get placed in very high tier matches. They are tough to hit, spot for other tanks, and can slip in and kill artillery. I think game engine limitations stops them from going any faster than the tier 5s are and if you gave the higher tiers more armor and firepower, they would start to intrude on mediums.

This patch is over 1 gig and the new stuff doesn't sound that appealing (or even new)

Quote:

Main changes implemented with the update v.7.0:
- Implemented several game clusters (multicluster technology).
- Added the camouflage feature. Camo purchase and its mounting are available in the game section ‘Appearance’.
- Added levels of tank companies varied by tier: up to tier 4, up to tier 6, up to tier 8 and up to tier 10 (including tier 10). Implemented tier limits for SPGs, LTs, and TDs in up to tier 4, up to tier 6 and up to tier 8 battles.
- Added the complaint system. You can choose the complaint type while in battle by right-clicking on the player's nickname shown in the pop-up context menu.
- Added a test system for recording and replaying battles. A ‘Record battle to replay’ setting saves battle videos in ‘Replays’ folder.

Okay I've reached a crossroad. I've been in the M4 Sherman (tier 5) for a while now and I have to choose between the M4A3E2 or the M4A3E8. Which one should I pick if I want to mainly support heavies, stay back and just kill stuff?

I suppose the M4A3E2 since that leads to the heavy side which is more suited to hanging back (especially the American heavies which aren't well armored for brawling). The tier 9 and 10 heavies are due to be swapped out for new tanks soonish so this could change.

The M4A3E8 does lead to the mediums and the tier 8 and 9 American mediums are fairly beastly. But they are more flankers than hanging out in the back.

I think the most important thing for the 7.0 patch was the more behind the scenes multiculster technology. With that out of the way they should be focusing more on user visible features. And now the 7.1 patch with the French tanks is on the public test server so those should be out soon.

I was actually planning on taking the American Medium line all the way to the top. I'm going German for my heavy tanks, TDs and SPGs.

I've found that the American Heavies fare pretty well against the german ones.

Russian ones however seem to be of the highest quality.

I love the Slugger though man that thing rocks. I just wish I could get the 120mm on it.

As to your question about M4a3e2 or 8 the 2 has significantly higher armor and the same gun.

I've seen that Sherman jumbo brawl with heavies and come out on top.

Maybe I should try that "surrender" button they introduce with those french tanks
