Its not just a not ok thing its a totally not ok thing. I even checked online for opinions in threads on dating sites.

I can understand your not wanting to go on that date. So, just don't go. Why in the world would you go on a date you didn't want to go on and bring your cat along?

Personally, I think I'd have more fun on a first date with a little kid along than just the standard..."let's make awkward conversation for two hours" date. You can also get a much better sense of what kind of person she is by seeing how she interacts with her kid.

its clear she loves her kid. She loves him or her so much she brings it on a date.

Possibly a woman who has been on tons of first and second dates, paying a ton of money for babysitters, and then the guy dumps her when she suggests he meet her child? Why not get that cleared away right off?

I mean, from her point of view, it saved her from going on a date with someone who is completely not interested in kids.

Dating service dates aren't like real world dates, where you know a woman for a while and she knows you and you decide to see if there is any chemistry there. In that situation, bringing the kid along on the first date is kind of silly.

on that note, chics can put whether they have kids or not on their profile

so either Bonk knew and he trolled her into a response and got a thread out of it, or she lied on her profile

Well, I've known a few guys over the years who loved dating single moms because they figured the moms would be desperate and hot to trot. Just, never go to her place.

If her profile had mentioned the kid and that a long term relationship was what she was looking for, bringing a kid along is a good way of letting guys know...put up or shut up.

In this case, it seems to have worked. Both Bonk and she were saved from a date that was probably going to go nowhere, anyway.

Bad idea- she is a bad mom too. Why would she want to introduce her kid to random men off the internet?
Stay away - she is even more crazy than you.

Also, a lot of pedophile men date single moms.

That woman is crazy to bring her son near a potential predator.
