Well its true though... Most children are molested by somebody close to them and not by a omplete stranger.
Pedophiles specifically like to date needy single moms. It happens a lot and women need to watch out for it.

I would say that it's a little odd on the first date. That tells me she has issues about having a kid and dating.
If it was a second or third it's very appropriate.
If you are looking for single women no kids Bonk there are two things to consider.
1) You've just cut the pool by 3/4 (I guess.)
2) At your age range women who don't have children may be well adjusted women who simply haven't had the time or made the choices that would create children.
OR
She's a psycho who doesn't have children because she ate them.
Either way you are now surfing very poor odds. You may need to rethink that Father role.

I was actually willing to try to have an open mind about her having a young kid. That is why I wanted to meet her. But she insisted on throwing the kid thing right in my face with a date with a kid. That I wont do. Dates need to be a time for the man and the woman no kids. The kids need a sitter

I think it's odd for a first date.
If you were established as "dating" and then she wanted you to meet her kid, that's one thing. But for a first date...? I think it's pushing a boundry a bit.
