Shootings back then were relegated to inner city, as far as I remember, but I had left those situations by the time I was 14, thankfully.

Bethel, Alaska

Pearl, Mississippi

West Padukah, Kentucky

Stamps, Arkansas

Edinboro, Pennsylvania

What Tych said.

You don't see Massachusetts in that list you quoted, Tal.

Wayne Lo = College, not High School shooting.

As for Cosby, college kids get mugged/robbed in Boston metro area. Only made big news cuz of Harvard association. Again college...

Littleton, CO is pretty much the opposite of 'inner city'

I don't disagree.

All I was saying was that pre-1994, one didn't have normal access to the internet unless you were rich enough for your own computer, or was a hanging out in the high school computer lab.

I was neither.

I was too busy playing sports.

So one didn't have as much access to world news / news articles as we do today. And it didn't seem like as many shootings happened (especially in massachusetts high schools) back then.

I don't know of too many happening here in MA, but then we have the most restrictive gun laws in the country. Correlation or coincidence?

considering guns are banned from schools....i'm not sure banning or restricting guns works like you think it does

Well less guns in people's homes means less guns available to children that go to school. Unless you think that these kids are buying guns on the black market in alleys from gun runners! Chances are they are getting them from their parent's homes.

Why would I be talking about goings-on outside of Massachusetts pre-1994?

Because the context of the discussion was about the national occurrence of school shootings and you made a generational statement.

'Kids these days' are no better or no worse then they were in our day.

Well I'll defer to you on that, you seem to know better than I about that.

What is up with kids these days???

I graduated in 1994.

We used to settle disputes via fighting, suspensions were no big deal, my foster father would make us do yard work/landscaping during that time. His property looked great as my foster brothers and I never liked the rich kids. They were scared of us.

Eventually boxing and football became a great outlet for us.

But GUNS/WEAPONS to a school dispute???

Always stupid.

I guess I belong to a different generation.

I blame Donnie Darko.

Yes it always comes down to some girlfriend-less misfit who couldn't make the football team getting upset while watching donnie darko and playing video games.

You think you are tough go play a contact sport or join the military.

You want to go kill people and get away with it, become a cop.

Geez.

Life is not that hard people.

Do all REMFs come with a sob story, or is that just you?

Btw, might want to double check your facts. Columbine happened in 1999, Donnie Darko came out two years later. Pretty sure the movie had nothing to do with the shooting, despite its time traveling plot. Petty sure the rest of what you "remember" has just about the same basis in fact. Drugs are bad, mmkay?

You obviously don't know what a MOS 13F does, or who they roll with, or even ahead of.

MOS 13F is a combat MOS, and women are not allowed in that occupation. Which basically means bitches like you wouldn't be allowed in that MOS.

REMF = you.

And yes, I would say it to your face if you gave me the chance.

Altra,

Don't hate because I am enjoying my life, and your woman is poorer, fatter, and less educated than mine.

I don't hate anyone here. I pity some.

May you someday have life so good.

Then again, to those who choose Combat Arms goes the spoils.

Buddy, you are the biggest coward on the Outpost. I've never seen someone so insecure with themselves. And you call me a girl? What, did daddy abandon you? Not really an excuse but I could see where your need to be validated by others comes from.

It's "surprising" the military didn't straighten you out... Then again you'd actually have to have served in order for that to happen.
