I don't know of too many happening here in MA, but then we have the most restrictive gun laws in the country. Correlation or coincidence? I think there was one in the 80s or 90s sometime.

Also, looking at the timeline Halloweve posted, things seems to become copy-cat after columbine: disgruntled donnie darko watching, video game playing, non-jocks who didn't play sports and didn't have girlfriends.
Sports was always a better outlet than video games.
Kids these days are playing MMA video games instead of actually participating in the sport.

There are inner cities outside of Mass.
If you meant 'In Massachussetts, this only seemed to happen in inner cities', that's a different story.
What I'm pointing out here is that you are pretty oblivious to this. It was happening while you were in school and it was happening in primarily small rural and suburban schools.

Why would I be talking about goings-on outside of Massachusetts pre-1994?
It's not like the internet was as accessible, unless you could afford a computer back then.
They were pretty pricey back in the day.
I was too busy playing sports to spend anytime in the computer lab. I'm not sure we even had a computer lab, lol. Maybe, but I never used it, so all info I got back then was in the newspaper.
And as far as I knew back then, those incidents were rare and confined to inner-cities.
Today, kids are way different.
Less sports & less going outside while being more donnie darko watching, video game playing.
I never seen the movie, all i know from wiki is that its about some emo non-jock who kill himself thinking it will matter.
He would be wrong, as life goes on and the world moves on.
Anyway my time up, time to go outside and go snowboarding with my kids.
