Isn't Black History Month an American thing? Tenk aren't you Canadian? Do they celebrate it in Canada also?
Also naming 15 historical black figures is a dumb way to prove something. I mean can anyone name 15 historical Asian figures or 15 historical Mexican figures?

Black people celebrate here but it's not actually an official thing.

I'm not saying African-American historical figures are uniquely ignored. But the existence of Black history month is based on the failure of most history classes to teach inclusive history. Not on some sort of oppression ranking system. The fact that steps have been taken to the counter act ignorance of one ethnic groups contribution doesn't mean that we're at some sort of ideal or that every other ethnic group is appropriately represented.
I concede that the ability to name 15 historical figures doesn't prove much. I would be down for months recognizing important historical figures of other ethnic groups, who's history is often ignored.
