The motivations behind our social cons here are no different from the motivations behind Islamic fundamentalists. No difference whatsoever.
Both are founded 100% on the fear and hatred of women who can choose who they have sex with.
When was the last time you ever heard one of these delightful little men -- either American social-con or Islamic fundie, no difference -- rail on and on about the promiscuity of males? Would Rush have made his little rant if it had been a male student arguing for the availability of male condoms? Or, I don't know, say... Viagra?
Right. I, for one, am very glad all the women I've been with have had low-cost contraceptives available to them. But then again, unlike Rush, I was able to get laid without having to be famous.

Id rather be straight up with what I believe then to change for votes. But Im not a politician and I wont change my views for votes or favors.

This issue has many women really outraged. Sinlock's wife is fuming over this. This might work in the primaries for republicans but it might even lose some conservative women's votes. Now they wont vote for Obama but htey might stay home on election day

Giving them to kids and making it so available is kind of telling them to have sex and that they are not normal by waiting.
Some kids are sexually active but not all..the few sexually active teens or preteens should not be dictating the polucy for the rest.
What will happen is that the rest will think its expected when its not. This is precisely why more young people are having sex earlier than ever.

Having a debate on whether or not the gov't should fund any sort of preventive healthcare, regardless of gender is a debate I'd far prefer to the ones Santorum and his ilk would rather have: whether we should punish those dirty, dirty women for having sex, while not caring if men have sex.
Seriously, all this social-con blather about how women should never have sex before marriage raises an obvious question. Who are all the men supposed to be having sex with instead?
