Online Assassins Creed is the best multiplayer game I've played since DAOC. Hands down.

It's jumping the shark because it's an awful place to set the thing. The fun of AC has always been the huge cities with tall, impressive buildings.

There were no huge cities with tall, impressive buildings in colonial america. New York had less than 100k people in 1800 and few buildings were more than 2-3 stories high.

So? At least wait until there's something more than a line of copy before you go Yuki'ing all over it.

That's a good point Yuki, but after thinking about it, I'd be happy with no tall buildings. The game got too much like a Prince of Persia lite. Maybe they'll concentrate more on Assassinations now instead of climbing tall buildings.

Considering the conflict and the assassins, it wouldn't surprise me if much of the game was set in London. Maybe even a side trip to Paris to prevent sabotage of the Franco-American Alliance.

That would be much better. Late 18th century London and Paris would be good locations.

Yeah, but then again, figuring this series... those will feature not in the third game but in its inevitable sidequels.

Colonial times would be great for a certain gametype but not assassin's creed.
