The bill says, from what I understand, that a woman can't sue a doctor who doesn't tell her the fetus is defective.
So, on the one hand, the right is saying that forcing women to undergo medically unnecessary ultrasounds is vital because women need information, while, on the other hand, they are saying doctors don't have to tell women important information.
And, of course, the right says Obamacare is bad because it puts the government between a patient and his/her doctor, but, when the WE put government between a patient and doctor, that's just dandy.

Well the sponsor basically defends it by saying allowing lawsuits sends the messages that some kids shouldn't be born.
I think that's a pretty stupid rationale but that's just me I guess.
