Study the history of the Jews. Garth is right. They were forced into certain professions in which they thrived in became rich and then were hated by the people they lived with. The main reason historically Jews and Gypsies were hated is because they refused to assiminate into the cultures they lived in.

yeah, in many cases. it was one of the few jobs they were allowed to have in some societies. they were also frequently the only people who were willing to deal with other cultures making them natural choices for merchants as well.
seriously have to wonder about some of you here - is your knowledge of any other cultures based on negative stereotypes as well, or is it just judaism?

I tried spelling the accent. Big deal. And not I'm not confused between mobster loan sharks and Jewish loan sharks. My entire point was the practice of Usury, by the Jews(and mobsters)was what got them such a bad reputation, as in response to the OP. No I'm not trolling. No I don't think it's Evil Jewish DNA that made Yossarian's thread title factually interesting. I do think Usury and unfair banking practices is the root cause of the Jewish people's historical problems(pre 20th century).
No stress Garth. I really wasn't bashing Jews here. Just said "Oi, canz and tree." because it sounded like Woody Allen.

Who invented the concept Garth..... Usury was a term and practice quite long in effect before the birth of Christ.... You've got to be kidding me here.

I think all religious groups are equally insane.. 
And I know that Jews being just as human as everyone else obviously makes them douchebags, good thing you've got 7 billion other douchebags to keep you company.
