What has turned people off is all the fiascos with the debt standoff and trying to gut unions and all that other stuff. Social issues have played a very minor part in it. They are turning to social issues now because they've tried everything else and it's just made their poll numbers plummet more and more.

	Absolutely agreed. It was screwed up before we got there, thus that whole 9/11 thing. To prevent that from happening again, at least from this country, Bush decided to try and pacify the country. It was exactly what he promised he would NOT do during his 2000 campaign. However thats what he decided to do and you know what, it started to work. There are maps of casualties by province by year floating around. Were your 20 questions aimed at my son being there a few years ago? That wasn't a secret and I openly shared that. He did his tour for a year in 2009. Hes been back stateside for almost 2 years now. Its not emotionally invested so much as ridiculously well informed, for the above obvious reasons. As for the think tank, have a read. You don't think moderates who lean right weren't turned off by all the contraceptive B.S.? I know I was. You're probably right though, I think it's just stupid of them to focus on the wrong areas.
