We wouldn't openly attack anything.

It would be farmed for intelligence first, cause that's the smart thing to do.

After that it would be crippled electronically. No need to crash the plane, just the software.

What's been happening so far is mostly just the DOJ and the State Dept flexing political muscle. You start using predator drones for mobile black market communication - then you are playing with the big boys. They won't show up with warrants and lawyers and argue their case in front of judges.

For all the talk about the big ebil gubmit y'all don't seem to have a sweet fragging clue what it's actually capable of.

thats an act of war
you really think theyd do that over some greedy corporations pocket book?

or do you think theyre going to blame it on iran as a launchpad for the new war?
guys with boxcutters tried to hijack it?

would anyone but you believe a story like that?

Everyone knows what the government is capable of. Hacking anything not yours, and especially not anyone of the same country, is against the law, no matter what

Stuxnet was technically more or less as physical of an attack as setting off C4 in a nuclear enrichment plant. Aka an act of war technically yet the "good guys" are apparently the ones behind it so it was a good thing

The fact that the government would go to such heights to do it would tell another thing -- how much influence copyright industries inside the US have on the US government. That form of attack is a level of planning that is technically criminal if not downright a terrorist attack seeing how it would happen against a civilian organization. The US government is just as capable of committing terrorist attacks as Iran is, never forget that. Just because we're doing it with our own vision of the right intentions doesn't make it right.

so how far do YOU think the government will go to protect its investors pocket books?

or do you think sony will hire blackwater to take it out?

either way, an act of aggression against a civilian entity is definitely an act of war.
what do you think the UN would have to say about an american entity openly attacking a civilian aircraft in sweden?

Why wouldn't the Swedish government take care of it themselves? I'm sure they've got some crossbows or something.

Actually our own fighter jet JAS-39 which is used by a number of countries.

If not that, then we have several ground to air alternatives.

If it's being used in the commission of a crime I don't think they need the consent of the people to bring it down.

it makes us terrorists

and again, does tali really think the rest of the world is going to let it fly?
for a case of un-authorized borrowing of property someone, somewhere, purchased?

Of course, but Sweden right now doesn't recognize what they are doing as a crime. The internet doesn't just give US companies and the US government international jurisdiction. They're allowed to sue them in Swedish courts but civil law for copyright in Sweden is kind of iffy

If they were flying above the USA, sure shoot them down. Go for it. I'd throw rocks at it myself because that'd be cool

Military actions inside the country without fighting a defensive war is illegal as it can be here..
