there will be interviews with players with brain injury...the outcry fro, the pub;ic will force a drastic change

I don't deny change, I'm simply stating the game will adapt, mostly through technological innovation.
I don't know of anything specific, but generally I'm sure there is. There's likely some military tech they are looking to retrofit for private use.
Check out this ad from Rawlings thou. Equipment is definitely improving.
And don't discount advances in medical technology either. That will improve as well.

People mine coal and risk death and endure certain lung disease and early death while doing so...all for a decent amount of money and a nice middle class life.
Why in the hell do you think people will forgo the ability to earn millions, hundreds of millions even, to play a game...because they might get some brain trauma?
People have been destroying their bodies to make a living since the first guy with a stick found out he could usually beat something to eat to death with it. Of course, sometimes, whatever he was trying to beat to death with it ended up eating him instead. Everyone dies, a lot of people end up crippled on the way there.
Big effing deal.
