Yeah like I said for some crimes they should go to prison and some they shouldn't. I dont blame only the poverty, even the part that I do blame is little. I've seen plenty people who have more than me, go to crime so they could get more. I think that is part of the problem. But yes mane I agree with what your saying. Not everyone should go to jail, and not everyone should be executed. But we do need crime deterrents. Now what exactly should we use? Im not sure. I dont want to make the call and I'm glad I dont have to.

Yes, our hearts go out to the poor dope dealers and thieves. Maybe if we just sat them down and talked to them they'd see that being nice is nicer. Perhaps some video training on sharing. I wonder if Barney has something we could use.

Should we consider a time-out after the next drive-by? Maybe we could raise taxes and send a check to eveyone in jail so they won't need to steal anymore. I don't know what to do for those poor rapists, either. I mean we could give them hug therapy or something. Oh, and a check, because they were probably forced to rape from being disadvantaged and all.

The Boy Scouts, etc could be sent to give hugs to pedophiles after selling cookies to make sure they're doing ok, too.

People know it's wrong to sell drugs, rape and steal. You can get bread and lunchmeat cheap. I don't have a lot of sympathy for people who make excuses for criminals. Trust me, I'm about as poor as it gets and I don't see the need to go to jail.

I think my only problem with this is that more of them aren't Europeans. I think we should grab vacationing Euros, force them to empty their bank accounts and then throw them into prisons as playmates for the most violent offenders.

Your grasp of 'poverty' in the USA or Canada isn't even close to reality.


Here in 1st world countires, as in any 3rd world country, there are groups that suffer 'poverty', ie, they need assistance to actually survive (which 3rd world countries DO NOT provide). This bunch is generally those too stupid to learn anything (and generally these people are products of sexual congress between like minded people), those that think stealing beats working, and those too frigging stupid NOT to have children they cannot afford.


No one need ever starve here except the absolute dummies.

On the other hand, jails get filled with the detrius of society that won't accept or even attempt to actually participate in the
society into which they were born or immigrated.

Canada has for years now welcomed 250,000 newcomers a year - we have 35 million people and climbing.

Our prison populations are expanding. And legallizing drugs IS NOT the answer.

Nice too see that you have no idea how humans work, humans generally wants to do good and to better themselves.. If there was actual gainful employment to be had and not minimum wage slavery which won't feed a family even if you have three jobs.. People from lower classes aren't dumber then you, most of them are probably smarter but unless you actually have the means to make their intellectual capacity flourish it will go to naught.

By your logic Sweden should not be the success it is today, 100 years ago we were the most impoverished nation in Europe.. Today we're very well off, why? Education the government saw that the only way we could rise was to see to it that the poorest had the chance to get a proper education and the chance to go to college.

We do not define poverty as starvation, it's pretty horrible that you people don't think it's a problem unless people are on the brink of starvation.. We define poverty as groups who are way below the middle class when it comes to material wealth.

Strange how we in Sweden actually manage to rehabilitate criminals... And then there are those who are pathological.
