Who controls the media? Answer that correctly and then you can start figuring why they are so intent to pit different peoples against each other and what they get out of it.

I don't really understand why Hispanics are separate from people of Italian or Portuguese descent. I always check off the hispanic box even though I'm 100% Western European... I suppose it's not what they're looking for, but I am of Spanish descent. It doesn't matter to me. I guess what they're really asking is if you're from a Spanish speaking Central or South American country... which excludes Brazil and the many Carribean non-Spanish islands.

My husband is mostly Russian but since he's Argentine he's hispanic. In fact a lot of Argentines are of mostly German, Italian, or Spanish blood.

I don't really like the word Spaniards... it's awkward and seems like you're making a plural out of a singular. I think Spanish has been usurped by the Latinos to the point it's lost it's meaning, so lately saying Spaniard or Spaniards has become pretty common to make the distinction. But that's just a pet peeve of my own.

I would never consider a Spaniard Hispanic.

They aren't solely classified as white. You can be black or white hispanic, depending on your roots.

I look white but I'm mexican. I love it when I say I'm mexican people think I'm lying. I can also pretend I have no clue what their saying. So either way I can play either side. Its fun.

When I worked at Radioshack the last store I worked at was in the hispanic neighborhood, they had a couple of latinos working there who didn't speak spanish.

the locals would go in there, I'de be working with one of the latinos, and the locals would go up to them first and start talking in spanish. It was hilarious when they had to send them to me, because the reaction I got from the locals was always "ou're white but you speak it so well."

It's cause my people taught your people how to speak SPANISH YOU MORONS!

at least that's what I thought in my head all the time
