That sounds much more reasonable there. $20/50 is more expensive than factory retail lol!

Eager before you buy any handgun go to a range and test fire a CZ model. You may have to call around a bit until you find one that carries that brand as they are still not overly popular in the States. I personally love the CZ 75 but they make several good models. Reliable, durable, innately accurate.

Right, 24 barrels, estimated 45-60 minute reload time, but fires reasonably quickly once loaded.

also, hella heavy to hold and aim.

Reloading is a great way to cut ammo costs down. Especially the more expensive rounds, mostly rifle or magnum caliber pistols. I reload everything I shoot. Saves me so much money. Especially when target shooting/varmint hunting where I can easily burn through 500 rounds in a day, maybe more. I second that cawlin. Also yes before you buy a pistol test fire a few. Going to a store and handling one simply doesn't show you how it will perform for you, because every gun is different. Its almost like choosing a car, they all get the job done, but which is better for your needs, situation and money. Be picky and dont jump on the first that takes your eye. Research and find the best one for you.

Well I keep talking about it, but I have yet to actually purchase a pistol. I have test fired a few and didn't like the feel/action of any of them. I don't remember models, but one was a Glock, one was a S&W and I forget the third. I looked at getting a 9mm beretta as I'm most used to that, but the price seemed a bit steep when I looked, about $500 iirc.

I like the idea of hitting the range and renting stuff to test it out.

I think I'm just going to get some 1911 clone. Tried and true.

1911 is a good investment, just research which manufacturer you are buying from as some have had batches of shoddy quality.

And yeah Eager make sure to test fire the model you are interested in. My wife had an idea of what she wanted for her ccp due to advice from some of her co workers, and after test firing she changed her mind completely, going after something different than what they advised.

And my last unsolicited pitch for CZ
