Well they're both compliments, you can't mix them together
The only things that can be mixed together successfully would be mayonnaise and ketchup. Ranch and ketchup can somewhat on certain items but you're playing a risky game when doing that

Syrup is awesome for dipping sausage links in as well.
Also, a mixture of butter and syrup goes great on peanut butter toast.
You can use syrup instead of sugar on corn flakes, makes them taste sorta Canadian (which means reminiscent of a Moose burger and beer).
Syrup on salmon is addicting.
Syrup and cheddar are made to go together.
It's not just for pancakes anymore.
