This wasn't always true. I watched O'Reilly his first couple of years on-air. The first 18 months or so when he was starting was actually kindof... sane. He was aggressive in presenting points, but it really was something of a no-spin zone where he called out all sides on their idiocy. He'd also clearly identify when his personal bias was being injected (usually in his segment at the end of the show, separated from the other content).
That all got thrown out the window PDQ. Then his show (and he) became the POS you see today.
