The funny thing is traditionally a lot of states had LOWER ages of consent for women than men. Which makes absolutely no sense. From what little we know young women are much, much more likely to be pushed into sex they don't want than young men. Why you would be less concerned doesn't make any sense unless the laws are being written by people who want to take advantage of those young women...
